Keekorok is a large comfortable motel-style safari lodge. It has good facilities to suite families or groups, but is not suitable for a small private safari.Keekorok, meaning “motley abundance” in the local Masai language is situated in the very heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve. The lodge which is the Masai Mara’s first lodge was constructed in 1962 on a choice eighty acre site in an area of permanent springs and lush grassland. There are no fences so it is not uncommon to see elephant and buffalo on the outer perimeter of the lodge.
